Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Clean Room Electronics Assembler (1st Shift) at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will assemble electronic components, subassemblies and systems in a clean room, test functions, and ensure compliance with protective and process requirements. The role requires dexterity, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and experience with SMT/THT assembly and soldering.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long shifts.
Excellent manual dexterity and precise handling of delicate components.

Responsibilities

Read shop orders and follow production work instructions.
Ensure all processes meet clean room requirements and procedures.
Position and align components using jigs or fixtures with hand or power tools.
Tend machines and perform operator-level maintenance as required.
Mount and connect components on PCBs and chassis; perform soldering and wiring.
Install finished assemblies in cases or cabinets and perform intermediate assembly tasks.
Operate test equipment and conduct functional, environmental, and life tests.
Identify defects by reading instrument readings and document discrepancies.
Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
