Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates, LLC is hiring a Machine Operator to operate and maintain production machinery, run start/stop procedures, and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing. You will perform quality checks, document production data, and keep a clean, organized workspace in a GMP environment.

The role requires basic math, the ability to read recipes, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. SAP experience is a plus in this fast-paced food production setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Able to read and understand recipes.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and lift overhead.
• Able to stand on hard surfaces for the duration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and Maintain machinery, equipment and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
• Perform basic machine changeovers, startups, and shutdowns.
• Ensure materials are loaded correctly and replenish supplies as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with sanitation standards.
• Report mechanical or process issues to supervision or maintenance.
• Support team goals through cross-training and flexible task assignments.
• Adhere to GMP to ensure product quality and comply with food safety standards.
• Complete FSQA training to ensure consumer safety and support plant objectives.
• Report and address any food safety hazards or deviations with supervision.
