Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is hiring for an entry-level position in San Leandro, CA. The role involves dipping wax patterns in ceramic slurry, following exact process instructions, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Training is provided on the job, with potential cross-training to robotics controls for highly motivated candidates. The job is a graveyard shift Thursday–Monday with a training schedule Monday–Friday 4am–12:30pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to maintain order and chain of custody on shell molds.

Responsibilities

• Follows all prescribed safety rules and regulations. Wears safety glasses with side shields and steel toe shoes at all times.
• Reads shell process instructions pertaining to each production part number.
• Prepares basic molds for further processing according to instructions and handles to facilitate clipping/washing.
• Immerses wax set-up in appropriate washing solutions according to written instructions.
• Replenishes slurry mixture following specified procedures and maintains clean work area.
