You will mix primers and topcoats, operate spray booths and related equipment, document paint usage, and collaborate with Quality Control to address defects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect quality.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow procedures.
  • Experience with painting and finishing in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to operate spray equipment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, or blasting per instructions.
  • Mix, apply, and cure paints, primers, and coatings per specs.
  • Operate spray guns, booths, ovens and related painting equipment safely.
  • Apply coatings to achieve required film thickness and finish quality.
  • Maintain records of paint usage and lot numbers for traceability.
  • Inspect finished work for color match and quality; collaborate with QC.
  • Follow safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling procedures.
  • Assist with inventory of paints, solvents, and supplies.
