Qualifications

• Must have strong reading of blueprints and shop drawings.
• Basic shop math capability is required.
• Competent with dimensional measuring and basic precision tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Experience with overhead crane operation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic or punch presses for routine work.
• Select tooling and set up with guidance from supervisor.
• Load and correctly set up tools with assistance.
• Meet time standards and quality expectations.
• Record time and work completed in the data system.
• Resolve basic manufacturing issues with guidance.
• Report material, production and quality issues.
• Maintain equipment logs and communicate deficiencies.
• Assist in operator-level preventative maintenance.
• Test and adjust machine speeds according to specs.
