• High School Diploma with prior bearing inspection experience or equivalent.
• Aptitude in basic to advanced shop math.
• Experience reading gauges or measuring devices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated computer aptitude.
• Problem solving and self-motivation in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read micrometers to verify bearing dimensions.
• Set up radial clearance gauges and inspect IRC.
• Set up and inspect race run-out.
• Use and read dial calipers.
• Perform visual inspection for nicks, dents, corrosion or fatigue.
• Inspect rollers and retainers for wear and damage.
• Handle and clean components per procedures.
• Load and stake retainer tangs correctly.
• Measure roller end play accurately.
• Inspect face parallelism and ring widths.
• Mark specialized identification marks such as X.
• Recognize race condition through IRC.
• Ensure accuracy of visual surface defect checks and conformance to specs.
• Gauging advance bearing geometry using gauges and calipers.
• Assist in other areas as needed to support busy production.
