Job summary

Keeler Motor Car Company in the Capital Region (Latham, NY) is seeking a Body/Wheel Recon Painter for a high-volume reconditioning department. You will perform light mechanical work, wheel and panel prep, color matching, and painting tasks with potential commission.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be self-motivated and be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Light mechanical work, bumper body panel removal and re-installation and panel repair.
• Prep wheels and body surfaces for automotive paint system, and painting techniques.
• Use CNC machine to recondition aluminum wheels.
• Perform light body work including panel straightening.
• Mix specified color using standard formulas or color charts.
• Wet sanding, buffing and applying touch up paint on body panel and wheels.
• Additional pay with PDR experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor; help production of the recon department.
