Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Ford/Lincoln of Shreveport, is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician to perform lubrication services, oil changes, and basic maintenance. You will inspect the vehicle, report additional repairs to the Service Advisor, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, basic automotive knowledge, and be able to follow safety procedures and shop protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids).
• Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including oil and filter changes.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services (oil changes, transmission fluids and filters) in a safe manner.
• Check the customer’s car and refer needed repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Ensure the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in interactions with customers and coworkers.
