Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical units or sub-assemblies using hand and power tools to produce finished products.
• Operate equipment such as jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears and drill presses to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form and assemble parts.
• Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust components to meet tolerances and product requirements.
• Monitor quality of products and raw materials; read simple blueprints.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning; identify and correct minor machine malfunctions.
