Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking an Assembler I in Morganville, NJ to join a lean manufacturing team assembling electro‑mechanical products for customers. You will follow drawings, prepare and inspect parts, and work toward on‑time production goals in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle small components with PPE. Hourly pay will reflect experience, with growth potential in a collaborative, safety‑driven setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of work experience in similar position preferred.
• Must possess strong Mechanical Aptitude and Attention to Detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
• Computer literate with understanding of inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Follow written work instructions and drawings to assemble products to the highest quality standards with zero scrap or rework.
• Assemble components and products of varying size and complexity including preparing, cleaning, and inspecting parts.
• Meet the expected assembly timelines outlined on production orders.
• Assist with inventory cycle counting and notify supervisor of low stock levels.
• Cross train on various functions to provide flexibility and support across production operations.
• Focus on production orders and assembly responsibilities throughout the day.
