Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Precision Agriculture Sales Specialist in Boone, IA to lead sale and service of GPS and GIS systems, partnering with area sales staff to promote the Nutrien Precision Ag Platform.

You will train staff, develop sales strategies, collaborate with crop consultants and labs, and promote digital tools while exploring diversification opportunities. Requires associates degree and 5+ years in Precision Ag sales.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in Precision Agriculture, agribusiness or agricultural mechanics.
• 5+ years of experience in Precision Ag or equivalent agricultural sales preferred.
• Farm production background would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Sell and service GPS and GIS systems with area sales staff.
• Explain benefits and technical aspects of precision ag tools and integration with Nutrien Precision Ag Platform.
• Lead the sales team to deliver on promises.
• Promote and support Nutrien's digital and online sales tools.
• Explore diversification opportunities including aerial imagery and data management.

What You'll Do

• Sale and Service of GPS and GIS systems partnering with area sales staff
• Utilize communication skills to show the benefits and technical aspects of precision ag tools and how they can be incorporated into the Nutrien Precision Ag Platform
• Must function as a team leader to openly work with entire sales staff and deliver what is promised
• Service of the product lineup is key to developing a delivered as promised reputation
• Promote and support the division's digital and online sales tools
• Must be open minded to explore new diversification opportunities including aerial imagery, nutrient modeling, data management systems, etc.
• Promote strategy and adoption by sales team through internal meetings and presentations etc.
• Develop and coordinate sales strategies, advertising, field days, grower meetings to promote interest by growers and Nutrien Ag Solutions customers
• Work closely with Crop Consultants and General Managers to implement and support their efforts to adopt innovation into the regional strategy
• Conduct training on software and hardware as necessary
• Work closely with outside service providers (labs, contract sampling, consultants, scouts etc.) to ensure their compliance with Nutrien Ag Solutions requirements and direction
• Manage technology vendor relationships to ensure that adequate support and training are being offered
