Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Oregon is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and repair composite parts for aerospace and UAV programs. The role requires following engineering drawings, using adhesives, hand tools, and ensuring parts meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years experience with composite materials and bonding processes, preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP/accounting software experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling finished composite components using various techniques.
  • Proficiently using hand and power tools.
  • Bonding small and/or intricate parts to composite components.
  • Applying sealants and gaskets to composite assemblies.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and diagrams to understand assembly requirements.
  • Inspecting components and finished products for defects, ensuring quality control throughout the assembly process.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborating with department lead and engineers to resolve technical issues during assembly.
  • Keeping a clean and organized workspace.
  • Proposing and advising on continuous improvement of assembly processes.
