FamilyFirst Qatar seeks a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Washington. You will format and prepare text and images for print or digital publication, collaborating with editors and designers to ensure accuracy and consistency.

A keen eye for typography and attention to detail are essential as you work under tight deadlines. The role requires proficiency in InDesign or QuarkXPress and a strong understanding of layout, typography, and print production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and other publishing software programs.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and print production processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience working with multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Format and layout text and images according to design specifications and style guidelines.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in all published materials.
• Proofread content for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors.
• Use software programs such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to create page layouts.
• Ensure that all materials are properly prepared for printing or digital distribution.
• Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the production process.
