Job summary

H&K Group is seeking an experienced Precast Quality Control Technician in Douglassville, PA. You will run aggregate gradations and daily tests on precast concrete, ensuring adherence to quality plans and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in precast or concrete production.
• ACI Grade 1 and PQS certifications are required or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand production plans and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs work according to OSHA, MSHA, and HK safety policies.
• Follow and assure compliance with quality control plans.
• Sample and test materials following standard practices and quality plans.
• Maintain test records and ensure compliance with specs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to standards.
• Communicate results and trends to quality control and operations.
• Work with sales team to address customer issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies
• Follow and assure compliance with quality control plans
• Sample and test materials following standard practices and quality plans
• Maintain test records and assure compliance with company and agency specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to standards
• Establish and maintain lines of communication with plant operations, agency representatives, and quality control supervision
• Work with sales team to address customer issues
• Generate reports and communicate results and trends to the quality control team and H&K employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• Two years of related experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 and PQS Certification
• Able to read and understand general production plans
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of precast concrete, or NPCA precast training
• Experience working with state DOT regulations & paperwork
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
