Job summary

CMC is seeking a hands-on supervisor for its precast concrete manufacturing facility. You will lead daily production operations, coordinate labor and materials, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in concrete manufacturing, plus relevant certifications. You’ll oversee equipment, drive continuous improvement, and mentor a team while maintaining strict safety and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory or lead experience in a concrete manufacturing environment.
• ACI Level I Field Testing Technician certification; Concrete Batch Plant Operator certification preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, quality systems, and workplace safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, team building, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing production demands.
• Ability to read production schedules, work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality and ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations and employees in a precast concrete manufacturing facility.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and production schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Monitor workflow and adjust processes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Oversee safe operation of plant equipment and facilities, coordinating with maintenance.
• Train and develop employees, providing ongoing performance feedback.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations as needed.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve production issues and achieve plant objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
• Maintain records related to production, attendance, safety, and performance.
• Promote organization, housekeeping, and efficient use of equipment and resources.
