Job summary

Brookville Church of Christ seeks a pastor to lead in a rural farming community. The position starts part time and may grow to full time as attendance increases, with Sunday School and Sunday services and a Youth Barn youth program.

The candidate should be ordained or experienced in preaching, with a Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of preaching expected. Responsibilities include preaching, Bible study, and visiting shut-ins, in partnership with the elders.

• Bachelor's degree preferred or required.
• 5–10 years preaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preaching the message on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
• Bible Study.
• Visiting shut-ins at home and in nearby facilities as needed.
• It is not required that you relocate to Brookville, however we would expect that you be located in the general area.
• These areas of responsibilities will be a shared leadership between yourself and the elders.
• We need your assistance in growing a congregation of believers who love GOD, love others and seek to be disciples as we are making new disciples.

Job description

Brookville Church of Christ is located in a small farming community with a population of approximately 2,500. We are located between several larger cities, Indianapolis, Richmond, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Our Church has been blessed with visiting Preachers after we suffered the loss of our Pastor due to COVID. It is now time to find our permanent replacement to take us forward.

This position would be part time to begin with, leading to a full time position as our church attendance increases. We have Sunday School followed by Church services on Sunday. Our young children meet at our Youth Barn on Sunday evenings for an evening of spiritual fun. We are also excited that we are soon to break ground on a new multipurpose building.
