Job description

Central Christian Church is seeking its next Senior Minister. After 15 years of dedicated service to Central and the Bristol community, Pastor Mark Overton has indicated he plans to retire June 2027.

Founded in 1903, Central Christian Church is a Restoration Movement New Testament congregation. We are located at 424 Melrose Street, in Bristol, Tennessee – just a few blocks away from our local high school and middle school. We are a congregation of just over 200 per week and currently offer two worship services each Sunday morning (9:00amTraditional and 11:00am Contemporary). We offer bible studies on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings and Life groups throughout the week.

Our congregation is looking for the man God has chosen to lead Central into a new era of service to engage and inspire the next generation of believers, while ministering to a multi- generational congregation. A bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Bible, or Preaching is preferable, with at least 3 years of ministry experience. The main duties of the Senior Minister include dynamic preaching, inspirational teaching, overseeing staff, and pastoring the congregation. The salary range is$60,000 – $75,000 commensurate with experience and education.
