Job summary

FAROUK SYSTEMS INC is seeking a Pre-weight Operator in Georgia to assist in the preparation of formulas by accurately weighing raw materials according to batch sheets. You will wear required safety gear, label all materials, and maintain cleanliness to support the next production run.

Responsibilities include preparing weights on scales, communicating any issues, adhering to GMP and company policies, and documenting lot numbers and materials.

Qualifications

• Must be able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Good writing and communication skills are a must.
• Must be able to stand 8 hours or more daily.
• Ability to operate/run required pieces of machinery for weigh-up operation.

Job description

Pre-weight is responsible for the pre-weigh (set-up) of various chemicals, dyes, and fragrances, per prescribed batch sheets using scales, buckets, and other measuring devices.

Duties & Responsibilities Required:

• Accurately weigh the appropriate raw materials for each formula.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner
• Make sure to wear all proper safety equipment needed at all times
• Properly label finished pre-weight formulas and unused raw materials.
• Communicate with appropriate people for mixing issues, changes, adjustments, or movement of material.
• Efficiently clean and maintain appropriate equipment and/or area to prepare for next batch.
• Complete appropriate paperwork with correct lot numbers/materials/initials making sure everything is checked and correct.
• Enforce standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times; follow safety and quality policies and procedures; continually operate in a safe manner.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as required for the position.
• Perform other duties as needed or requested.

Education & Experience required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Good writing and communication skills are a must
• Ability to operate/run required pieces of machinery for weigh-up operation
• Operate digital and mechanical scales into required measurement
• Ability to follow procedures
• Ability to operate pallets jacks/drum lifters

Physical Abilities and Skills Required:

• Must have good foot-hand-eye coordination
• Must be able to stand 8 hours or more daily as needed
• Must be able to lift or carry at least 55 lbs repeatedly through the day
• Must be able to push at least 55 lbs repeatedly through the day
• Must be able to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and reach above shoulder
