Job summary

PhytogenX, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Weigh Technician for our manufacturing team in Morgantown, PA. This temporary-to-permanent role starts through a staffing partner and may transition to a permanent PhytogenX employee after evaluation.

You will move, weigh, and track raw materials, using electronic scanning software and pallet equipment, while adhering to cGMPs and SOPs and maintaining accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and unit conversions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and cGMPs/SOPs.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and drum tippers.
• Retrieve and return raw materials using electronic scanning software.
• Accurately weigh and dispense materials for production batches.
• Maintain records of material transactions and weighing activities.
• Ensure proper handling and storage to maintain quality and compliance.
• Support inventory control and material tracking as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Job description

PhytogenX is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pre-Weigh Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, where successful candidates will initially be employed through one of our designated staffing agencies and, upon demonstrating strong performance and meeting company requirements, will have the opportunity to transition to a permanent PhytogenX employee. The hours will be 6:30AM - 3:00PM Monday through Friday.

The Pre-Weigh Technician is responsible for the movement, storage, tracking, and weighing of raw materials used in the manufacture of bulk products. All work must be carefully and accurately performed and documented to meet customer requirements and FDA regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety policies, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate industrial equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and drum tippers.
• Retrieve and return raw materials to designated storage locations using electronic scanning software.
• Accurately weigh and dispense raw materials required for production batches.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all material transactions and weighing activities.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to maintain product quality and compliance standards.
• Support inventory control and material tracking activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Familiarity with computers, handheld scanners, and/or smartphone applications.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and unit conversions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, and move materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food production experience is preferred but not required.
