Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced employment-law attorney to manage a high-volume pre-suit caseload, evaluate claims, and negotiate settlements with employers, insurers, and opposing counsel. You will develop early case strategy, communicate directly with clients, and draft demand packages to drive efficient resolutions.

Ideal candidates bring J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, active bar status, and demonstrated success in wage-and-hour, discrimination, or retaliation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar in the state where the attorney is based or applying.
• Employment-law experience preferred; wage/hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, or wrongful termination a plus.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strong judgment and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation skills with opposing counsel, employers, insurers, and clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to assess legal and factual considerations quickly and advise on settlements.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable leveraging technology and data-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a high-volume caseload of employment-law matters through pre-litigation resolution.
• Evaluate potential claims promptly; identify liability, damages, and evidentiary issues; develop early settlement strategy.
• Gather information, prepare demand packages, track deadlines, and follow up with all parties.
• Communicate proactively with clients, providing clear guidance and timely case updates.
• Draft and revise demand letters, settlement proposals, releases, and other pre-litigation documents.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel, employers, insurers, and decision-makers for favorable settlements.
• Assess settlement offers and advise clients on case value, risks, options, and next steps.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation in the firm’s case-management platform.
• Collaborate with intake, case-management, litigation, and support teams for early resolution or escalation.
