Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Columbia, SC is seeking a Pre-Suit Attorney to handle pre-litigation work, guide clients through the case process, and draft and file pre-litigation documents.

You will work with experienced personal injury attorneys, manage a team, and focus on automotive cases, with a strong emphasis on client service, leadership, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing (SC).
• 2+ years of personal injury experience.
• Ability to manage high-volume pre-litigation work.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of pre-litigation work.
• Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval process.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents.
• Approve liability issues through TD process.
• Oversee settlement negotiations and demand packages.
• Manage release approval process.
• Supervise a team of 6-10 Case Managers.
• Focus on personal injury cases, primarily automotive.
• Drive compliance and KPIs across the team.

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a lawyer to serve as a Pre-Suit Attorney in our Columbia, SC office. This is an opportunity to learn Personal Injury at the premier Plaintiff PI firm in the country. Our Pre-Suit Attorney’s make mission critical decisions for the firm and play a significant role in our success. Work alongside world-class lawyers that are looking to mentor and advise Attorney’s who are new to the field.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of all pre-litigation work
• Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval
• Guide clients through the case process
• Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents
• Complete TD approval for liability issues
• Oversee settlement negotiations and the formation of demand packages
• Manage the release approval process
• Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers
• Focus on Personal injury cases, primarily automotive
• Drive compliance and KPIs amongst team
• EUOs, PIP Statements, recorded statements

Requirements

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school
• An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (SC)
• 2+ years of personal injury experience
• Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
