Qualifications & Qualities:

  • For Toddler teacher applicants, Infant/Toddler units required
  • Preferred 2-3 years experience in early childcare teaching young children
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Team player, positive role model, strong work ethic, and take-charge attitude
  • Strong customer service skills with an ability to build strong relationships with parents & co-workers
  • Self-motivated, responsible, driven, and works well with minimal supervision
  • Organized with good time management skills, independent, creative, fun-loving, and kind

General Responsibilities:

  • Follow and implement pre-developed lesson plans
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, stimulating environment for the children to learn in
  • Provide proper supervision at all times
  • Teach and guide the children in their classroom
  • Work independently and with other teachers
  • Update parents about their child’s progress
  • Communicate necessary information to the child, other teachers, parents, the Director, or authorities

Compensation:

  • $24-30 per hour (depending on experience/suitability)

Requirements:

  • 6-12 units of Early Childhood Education (on the lower end must be still enrolled in classes)
  • First Aid and CPR certified / Negative TB test and immunization records
  • Positive attitude toward learning, communicating, parents, and children
  • Understanding of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children
