Qualifications

• Ability to load/unload and seat students per guidelines; relate to children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver in maintaining discipline while bus is in operation.
• Assist with student loading, unloading and seating as required.
• Document student information and route surveys.
• Ensure seat belts, harnesses and wheel chair clamps are secured as required.
• Coordinate safe loading/unloading with parents and school personnel.
• Attend in-service meetings and training as assigned.
• Remain at work during the entire workday unless excused by supervisor.
