Job summary

Billings Clinic's Surgery Center (Main Campus) is seeking a dedicated Pre/Post Op RN to join our team in Billings, MT. This full-time position supports patient flow in the operating room and recovery areas, delivering high-quality nursing care and ensuring safety and compliance with national standards.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff, perform pre-op and post-op duties, maintain records, and ensure equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Current Montana license as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate (or Diploma) RN with less than 5 years of RN experience; commit to completing Bachelor of Nursing within 4 years.
• Licensure/certification must be in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Directs nursing activities relating to procedures and patient care.
• Educates patients during all phases of the patient experience and ensures informed consent before sedation.
• Prepares records, reconciles medication history, reviews diagnostics/tests and laboratory results.
• Maintains equipment and supplies, operates patient monitoring equipment and ensures inventory control.
• Supervises and trains other staff members and participates in ongoing education.
• Maintains safety standards and adheres to Magnetism-related practices.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to meet department needs.
