Job summary

LOG Surgery Center LLC in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to join a patient-focused team. The role includes pre- and post-operative care, coordinating with the surgical team, and documenting care in the EMR.

You will provide anesthesia support, monitor patient status, and participate in performance improvement activities while adhering to age-specific standards. This position offers great benefits and stable full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate degree or BSN.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients.
• Completes ongoing patient assessment and documents in EMR.
• Develops patient plan of care with goals, evaluations and interventions.
• Reports symptoms and significant changes to the care team.
• Coordinates discharge planning with other care team members.
• Performs age-appropriate care for pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Uses critical thinking to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Documents patient care accurately in the chart.
• Collaborates with physicians and health care team.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Provides pre- and post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Initiates cardiac monitoring and evaluates drainage systems.
• Recognizes arrhythmias and intervenes per ACLS.
• Monitors hemodynamics and interprets results.
• Assesses and manages pain with multimodal therapies.
• Assists anesthesiologist with nerve blocks.
• Provides post-operative care after anesthesia.
• BLA, ACLS and PALS required.
