Job summary

Canopy by Hilton New York Midtown is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions for its pre-opening team in NYC. This pivotal role will help build the hotel’s talent pipeline, onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives to support a high-performing culture.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and safety, ensuring brand standards are met as the hotel launches.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years HR experience within the hotel/hospitality industry.
• New York City hotel experience preferred.
• Pre-opening or hotel opening experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening recruitment and staffing for hourly and management roles across all departments.
• Partner with GM and department leaders to identify staffing needs and recruit.
• Manage onboarding, payroll entry, documentation, orientation and training.
