Job summary

The Woman's Hospital of Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Pre-Op/Same Day Surgery unit to deliver high-quality perioperative care. You will assess patients before procedures and support them through the pre- and post-operative phases.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN (preferred), Texas RN license, and at least two years in medical-surgical care with post-anesthesia experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Minimum 2 years of medical‑surgical experience, with preference for post‑anesthesia care.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care in pre‑operative and post‑operative phases.
• Proactively contribute to patient throughput and efficient unit management.
• Perform pre‑operative assessments and plan nursing care to meet patient needs.
• Coordinate care with the Same Day Surgery team to support patient goals and outcomes.
