Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an experienced registered nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for pre-operative patients and efficiently prepare them for intra-operative procedures.

You will ensure all nursing documentation, labs, EKGs, and H&Ps are current, collaborate with the anesthesiology and surgical teams, and communicate patient needs for special care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school.
• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for pre-operative patients.
• Prepare each patient for the intra-operative procedure.
• Ensure nursing documentation, labs, EKGs and H&Ps are complete and up to date.
• Communicate patient needs to the surgical team for special requirements.
• Maintain safety and infection control per Mercy standards.
