Job summary

Mercy South Surgery Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care across departments. The role emphasizes patient rights and confidentiality in a high‑performing surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Position requires lifting 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
