Job summary

New England Baptist Surgery Center, LLC is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for Pre-Op/PACU to support the nursing team. Under RN supervision, you will greet patients, assist in admissions, monitor vitals, and help with pre-op and post-op flow.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED) and may prefer nursing assistant certification. This position is non-exempt with a schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, at the facility location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required unless nursing assistant certification.
• Experience/certification in clinical patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients pre-operatively and assist with admitting process under the Pre-op Nurse guidance.
• Assist PACU staff by retrieving belongings and providing patient nourishment as needed.
• Record vital signs and assist with post-op ambulation as directed by RN.
• Assist with patient transport and moving between pre-op, PACU, and discharge areas.
• Stock supplies, maintain clean care areas, and follow safety policies.
