Job summary

The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC seeks a bilingual Spanish Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team in Stockton, CA. The role starts remote and will transition to the Stockton office; experience in legal case management is required.

Responsibilities include client intake, case monitoring, records management, and drafting documents. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years pre-litigation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in criminal justice, sociology, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of pre-litigation case management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent telephone customer service and active listening.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• CASEpeer/Filevine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC is seeking an empathetic, detail-orientedPre-litigation Assistant for ourPersonal Injury team. The perfect candidate for this position has a service mindset and meticulous approach to case management. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and will start off as remote and move into our Stockton, CA office in the future. Experience in legal case management is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients and guide them through the case process from intake to settlement
• Monitor cases by verifying client attendance; observing, evaluating and communicating treatments and responses; advocating for needed services and entitlements; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crisis; providing the utmost professional support
• Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress
• Communicates client progress by conducting weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations
• Request medical records; mail, scan and track government claim forms; and manage the resolution of property damage claims
• Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence
• Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation
• Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies
• 2-5 years of case management (pre-litigation) experience
• Strong interpersonaland relationship-building capabilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent telephone customer service etiquette and support, with emphasis on active listening skills
• Superior time management and capable to handle multiple cases and deadlinesat once
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written) and effective organization skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace
• CASEpeer/Filevine legal management software experience a plus
• Team-oriented and independently capable
• Maintains consistent attendance to support the team's productivity and efficiency.
• A strong desire to expand knowledge of personal injury law
• Pay commensurate with experience ($25.00 - $30.00 an hour)
