Department of State Hospitals – Coalinga is hiring a Pre-Licensed Psychiatric Technician (Safety) for a temporary full-time position. You will assist licensed staff in custody and basic nursing care for forensic patients while promoting Wellness and Recovery and Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

The role requires graduation from an approved Psychiatric Technician program or be within 30 days of graduating; it operates in an in-office setting with multiple limits on employment duration.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved Psychiatric Technician program or be within 30 days of graduating and in good standing with your program.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in providing custody services and basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to forensic patients.
• Promote and implement principles of Wellness and Recovery, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
• Facilitate the rehabilitation of patients through attitude, knowledge, and performance.
