Job summary

Treasure-Kids-Academy in Florida is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support our early childhood program. You will help manage daily schedules, keep the classroom inviting, and support teachers in delivering a safe, nurturing learning environment for young children.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a genuine love for children. Training in state-mandated hours is provided, with completion expected within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Child Care or VPK/Pre-K preferred.
• Background screening (Clearinghouse) required.
• 45 hour state mandated courses encouraged; required within 90 days.
• Mandatory Pre-K/VPK courses beneficial but not required; complete within 90 days.
• CPR and First Aid must be completed within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily classroom schedule per curriculum.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom to encourage exploration.
• Help keep a safe, sanitary classroom environment.
• Present a professional appearance as per handbook.
• Collaborate with Director and teaching staff as needed.
• Adhere to all company, DCF policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the daily classroom schedule in accordance with our curriculum.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Assist in keeping a safe, sanitary classroom environment.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines in our employee handbook.
• Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
• Adhering to all Company, DCF, policies and procedures.
• Team Player.
• Must have a love for children and want to make a difference in a child's life.
• Friendly and Approachable.
• Working with Teachers and Assistants inside of Classroom.

Requirements:

• Position is Monday- Friday , M*W*TH 8:30AM-5:30PM and T*F 9:00-6:00 (NO WEEKENDS, 40 HOURS).
• Must have Experience in Child Care or Experience in VPK/PRE-K.
• Must complete a Background Screening (Clearinghouse).
• 45 hour state mandated courses a + but not required for position.
• 45 HOUR state mandatory courses are required to be completed after 90 days of employment.
• Mandatory Pre-K/VPK/State of Florida courses a + but not required, must be completed within 90 days of Employment.
• Pay rate depends on Experience and Education (will be discussed during interview). CPR and First Aid must be completed within 90 days of Employment.
