Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking qualified educators to plan and deliver learning experiences for students in alignment with the VBCPS curriculum. The role includes creating a positive classroom environment, guiding student learning toward clear objectives, and maintaining records in accordance with policies.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in education and a valid Virginia teaching license.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Must have or be eligible for a teacher license from the Virginia Department of Education.

Responsabilidades

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs of students.
• Instruct assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters student involvement and learning objectives.
• Provide an instructional program to meet all students' needs.
• Prepare for classes and show evidence of preparation upon request.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Establish objectives aligned with VBCPS curriculum and student development.
• Utilize instructional methods and resources to motivate learning.
• Maintain safety and protect students and property.
• Keep accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Assist administration in enforcing school rules and classroom management.
• Be available to students/parents outside instructional hours when needed.
• Foster professional relationships with colleagues, students, and community.
• Plan and supervise teacher assistants and volunteers.
• Evaluate personal effectiveness and pursue ongoing improvement.
