Job summary

Acquire4Hire LLC seeks a dedicated Teacher for our Essex Jct. childcare center to provide a safe, engaging environment where children learn through play and a strong start toward Kindergarten.

The ideal candidate will use an emergent curriculum, observe children, plan around their interests, and tailor activities to individual needs while collaborating with a supportive teaching team.

Qualifications

• VT regulations require a Teacher Associate or higher.
• An associate degree with a concentration in Early Education, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child & Family Services, and at least 1 year with children grade 3 or younger.
• Certificates: Childcare Apprenticeship Program, CCV childcare certificate, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children.
• Observe children and plan emergent curriculum around group interests and needs.
• Support individual learning needs and adapt activities for ages up to grade 3.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a teacher with a passion for teaching and readiness to prepare our kids with the best possible start for Kindergarten! Our teachers are responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for the children to grow and learn. We follow an emergent based curriculum and believe that children learn best through play. The perfect candidate will be comfortable making observations and planning the curriculum around the groups interest and needs as well as meeting individual needs.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Teacher Associate or higher per VT regulations
• An associate degree with a concentration in Early Education, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child & Family Services, and at least 1 year working with children grade 3 or younger
• Certificate of completion from the Childcare Apprenticeship Program
• Childcare certificate from CCV with 1 year of experience working with children grade 3 or younger
• Successful completion of 21 college credits with an early childhood or school-age focus and 1 year experience working with children from grade 3 or younger
