Job summary

Saginaw Public Schools is looking for a Pre-K Associate Teacher to assist in providing quality instructional support in the classroom. You will help with classroom activities, monitor student progress, and maintain a safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate should have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, along with a valid Classroom CDA Credential. This role requires effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
• Valid Classroom CDA Credential required.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit at an accredited college or university required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities for supporting classroom goals.
• Support teacher by administering classroom assignments.
• Monitor students in various settings for a safe learning environment.

Skills

Knowledge of age appropriate activities

Knowledge of basic math, grammar and punctuation

Knowledge of child development and learning styles

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to work as a team

Education

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

Valid Classroom CDA Credential (if hired after June 21, 2011)
