Job Description
Working under the direction of the principal or assigned evaluator, a classroom teacher administers instruction in accordance with School Board policies, using instructional and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student. Duties include instruction, supervision, classroom management, student assessment, communication and collaboration, and extracurricular involvement.

Other Performance Responsibilities
- Administer classroom in accordance with district policies: lesson planning, grading, reporting, and school improvement.
- Assume administrative and management duties.
- Supervise students during school activities, recess, lunch, assemblies, and other duty periods.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, students, and stakeholders.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, and professional conduct.
- Attend required training, meetings, and professional events.
- Maintain appearance and personal grooming appropriate to the profession.
- Accept additional responsibilities as delegated by the principal.
Professional Conduct
Employees must maintain a high standard of professional conduct. Breach includes neglect of duty, dishonesty, and conduct contrary to district policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- United States citizen or authorized alien as required by Louisiana Bulletin 746.
- Physical and mental stamina to perform duties.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Availability for 172 days or as specified in the contract.
