Job summary

Flint Community Schools is seeking a GSRP Pre-K Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering quality early education. You will assist with instructional and non-instructional duties, material prep, room setup, and daily routines across classroom settings.

Candidate must hold a valid CDA and meet one of the education/assessment options; willingness to work with a teaching team and perform clerical tasks is required. Position supports 193 days, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Earned CDA and one of the listed options.
• Willingness to work cooperatively on a teaching team.
• Clerical and data-entry competency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with instructional and non-instructional duties as directed.
• Assist in preparation of materials and room setup for activities.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine with planning, choice, and recall.
• Engage in small- and large-group activities as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with enrollments, screenings and assessments when appropriate.
• Supervise field trips and assist with snacks/lunch.
• Record keeping and clerical work; participate in professional development.
