Job summary

Easter Seals North Georgia is hiring a Pre-K Assistant Teacher in Atlanta, GA. You will assist the Teacher in facilitating developmentally appropriate early childhood education in an inclusive setting and collaborate with the Early Childhood Specialists to support each child’s growth.

The role requires a CDA with preschool endorsement (or higher) and involves planning activities, promoting social skills, and parental involvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a Childhood Development Associate Credential (CDA) with the preschool endorsement, TCC, TCD or equivalent or higher credential.
• Must be eighteen years or older; pass Drug Test, Background Check and pre-employment tests if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children.
• Assist in ensuring safety and conducting attendance checks.
• Support communication with families and staff to involve parents in the program.
• Lead classroom in the absence of the Teacher and maintain appropriate classroom organization.
