Qualifications

• Must pass background checks including child maltreatment and state/federal checks.
• Ability to interact with students on their level and engage in floor activities.
• Willingness to complete ABC trainings and participate in 30 hours annually of staff development.
• Must be able to sit on the floor and work with students during gross motor development.

Responsibilities

• Aid and support assigned teacher and other personnel in implementing the instructional program and support services.
• Assist in preparation of lessons and instructional materials and learn curriculum content.
• Promote oral language development through meaningful conversations with students.
• Assist individual children in need of special attention and reinforce instructional activities as directed.
• Attend required ABC trainings and earn no less than 30 hours of professional development in Early Childhood topics annually.
