Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, or pre-construction
  • Residential construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist all phases of the pre-construction process from initiation to handoff.
  • Review project documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with estimating, purchasing, operations, and project management teams.
  • Prepare and maintain project files, schedules, reports, and documentation.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are properly organized and prepared prior to construction start.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with all phases of the pre-construction process from project initiation through handoff to operations.
  • Review project documents, plans, specifications, and related materials for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with estimating, purchasing, operations, and project management teams to support project readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain project files, schedules, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist in tracking project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and material requirements.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project updates and requirements.
  • Support permit processing, contract documentation, and project setup activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed and properly filed.
  • Identify and communicate potential project issues, delays, or discrepancies to management.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide administrative and operational support as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain professionalism and always provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction administration, project coordination, pre-construction, or related field preferred.
  • Residential construction industry experience preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Work in a typical office environment, sitting at a desk and performing prolonged computer work, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
