The Center for Pain is seeking a dedicated Pre Certification Specialist to join our team and help verify insurance coverage, determine preauthorization requirements, and manage the overall pre certification process for procedures and medications.

You will maintain accurate records, communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers, and collaborate with billing and administrative staff to gather required information while ensuring compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pre certification specialist is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, insurers, and staff.
• Proficient with healthcare management software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance and determine preauthorization requirements.
• Initiate and manage pre certification for procedures, treatments, and medications.
• Maintain accurate records of authorizations and communicate with providers, patients and insurers.
• Collaborate with providers, billing and admin staff to obtain necessary information.
• Monitor status, address issues, and appeal denials to secure timely approvals.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and HIPAA requirements.
