This role requires strong communication, meticulous data entry, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with billing and administrative staff to ensure timely approvals and smooth patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-certification or insurance verification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, insurers, and staff.
• Proficient in healthcare management software and data entry.
• HIPAA confidentiality and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to manage high volume of requests efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance and determine pre-authorization requirements.
• Initiate and manage pre-certification for procedures and medications.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals/denials and communicate with providers, patients, and insurers.
