Job summary

You will review authorizations, monitor expiration dates, and manage changes when patients transition between care levels.

Qualifications

• Experience obtaining medical pre-authorizations from insurance carriers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience submitting RFAs (Requests for Authorization).
• Experience reviewing approvals for dates, units, frequency, level of care, and services.
• Experience monitoring authorizations to prevent gaps.

Responsibilities

• Work with Workers’ Compensation carriers, TPAs, and billing staff to ensure authorizations are in place.
• Verify and track authorization status throughout treatment.
• Assist with changes when patients transition between levels of care.
