Foundation Surgical Hospital in San Antonio, Texas seeks a PRN Pre Admissions Nurse to coordinate nursing care for pre-operative planning. You will collect assessments, determine nursing diagnoses, and develop care plans with input from patients and families.
You will work closely with anesthesia providers and surgeons, perform pre-op assessments, start IVs, administer meds, ensure documentation, and uphold infection control and patient safety standards as part of a collaborative OR team.
Welcome to Foundation Surgical Hospital We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms and 3 ER Rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.
The Pre Admissions Nurse is responsible for the teamwork and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate. The Pre Admissions Nurse identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process. This care includes sensitivity to age specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
