Priester Aviation in Wheeling, IL seeks an experienced Captain (PIC) for Part 135 ops. You will lead flight preparation and execution, ensure safety, and maintain FAA compliance while flying a Praetor 500 on U.S. and North American charter missions with a three-pilot crew.

• Total flight hours in excess of 5,000 with PIC experience.

The Opportunity

As Captain and PIC, you'll lead all aspects of flight preparation and execution—ensuring uncompromising safety, exceptional passenger care, and full compliance with FAA regulations, FARs, and Priester procedures. You'll fly a modern, well-supported Praetor 500 on charter missions across the U.S. and North America, supported by a collaborative three-pilot crew and a mature Safety Management System (SMS).

What You'll Do

• Act as PIC with final authority for the safe operation of all assigned flights, adhering to FAA regulations, company flight operations manuals, and SOPs.
• Lead thorough pre-flight planning: weather analysis, performance and weight/balance, routing, fuel planning, and airworthiness checks.
• Champion effective CRM - setting the standard for communication, coordination, and professionalism across all phases of flight.
• Deliver world-class passenger service as the primary point of contact for clients on board.
• Engage actively in the company's SMS: identify hazards, mitigate risks, and participate in safety audits and corrective actions.
• Mentor and guide First Officers and other crew members to elevate overall team performance.
• Complete accurate post-flight documentation, including trip reports and logbook entries; promptly report safety or equipment issues.
• Maintain all required regulatory currency, training, and medical certifications.

What You'll Bring

• Flight time: 5,000+ total hours; 2,500+ hours as PIC; 2,500+ multi-engine land (including 1,500+ multi-engine PIC); 2,000+ turbine; 500+ instrument.
• Certificates: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with Multi-Engine Land; unrestricted or restricted ATP accepted.
• Medical: Current First-Class Medical.
• Preferred: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Deep knowledge of FAA regs, flight planning, and SMS; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with flight planning and aviation management software.
• Previous Part 135 experience highly desirable.
