Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Atlanta is seeking an experienced administrator to coordinate physician practice operations within the Emergency Department. You will provide administrative support to management and may supervise a small team of physicians.

Responsibilities include enabling efficient operations across the practice, supporting workflows, and partnering with clinical and administrative leaders to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent is required
• Total of 3 years of relevant healthcare/medical office experience required or six years of experience in lieu of degree
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinates physician practice operations and provides administrative support to management of the physician practice(s). Proactively supports efforts that ensure efficient operations and may function as a working supervisor. Oversees a small (1 to 3 physicians) practice or assists practice manager with a large (6+ physicians) practice(s).

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Required or
• In Lieu of degree three (3) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement Required
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of medical office, healthcare, or related experience Required or
• In lieu of degree a total of six (6) years of experience Required
