Job summary

A healthcare provider in Clinton, North Carolina is seeking a full-time Practice Nurse LPN or CMA to join the Practice Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring safety and efficiency in care delivery. Applicants must be licensed in North Carolina or certified as a medical assistant, possess BLS certification, and demonstrate proficiency in electronic records and medical procedures. This position operates from Monday to Friday with possible additional hours.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed by the Board of Nursing to practice nursing as an LPN in North Carolina.
• Registered as a Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Practice Nurse LPN or CMA to join the Practice Management team at Sampson Medical Group!

Description

The selected candidate will assist in the management of patient care provided in the practice, coordinate patient flow and ensures care is delivered safely, effectively and efficiently. Additional responsibilities include interviewing patients and taking medical history, giving injections, completing lab and x-ray requests, keeping charts current and screening calls within the practice/provider's guidelines, administering prescribed medications, performing simple treatment as directed by the provider, and working with services provided through Occupational Medicine for the contracted employers in the community.

Requirements

• Currently licensed by the Board of Nursing to practice nursing as an LPN in the state of North Carolina or registered as a Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants
• Previous physician office or healthcare setting desired
• Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of Electronic Medical Record documentation in accordance with Meaningful Use objectives
• Competent in EKG testing, blood draws and injections
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Ability to maintain the strictest patient confidentiality
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision

Hours

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the practice.
