Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Practice Manager II for the Marshall Nemer Pavilion to anticipate, plan, organize, and direct operations for one or more physician practices—supporting 6+ providers and managing 10+ employee FTEs to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role is responsible for achieving annual operational and financial goals, guiding practice leads, ensuring efficient workflows, and coordinating with HR for personnel matters.

Responsibilities

• Set the standards of behavior, professionalism, and customer service for the practice.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the practice, including staff and provider schedules and performance management.
• Ensure timely communication with team members and effective workflows for patients and providers.
• Oversee supply chain activities, inventory, and budget adherence; process invoices.
• Coordinate provider onboarding and integration activities for new physicians.
• Manage revenue cycle processes including registration workflows, copays, and daily cash handling.
• Review financial and billing data, identify variances, and assist in budgeting and decision-making.
• Meet with leadership to review trends and adjust strategic priorities.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Handle personnel functions in collaboration with HR.

Practice Manager II – Marshall Nemer Pavilion

Job Summary

The Practice Manager II anticipates, plans, organizes and directs the operations of one or more physician practices which includes, but is not limited to, supporting 6 or more providers and managing a minimum of 10 employee FTEs to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided to patients. The Practice Manager II is also responsible for achieving the annual operational and financial goals of the practice. In addition, this position has oversight of the practice lead and employees to ensure efficient operations and workflows for patients, providers, and employees through the application of standardized processes and best practices.

Essential Functions

• Serves as a role model to set the standards of behavior, professionalism, and outstanding customer services in all relationships with internal and external customers.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the practice, including staff and provider schedules, performance management, and ensure timely communication with team members.
• Facilitates troubleshooting and follow up to ensure effective provider, staff, customer and peer relationships.
• Adheres to the established controls of quality, compliance and risk standards for the day-to-day operations of the physician practice(s). This includes management of supply chain activities including the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory, while adhering to departmental budgets, as well as processing all invoices and bills for the office.
• Functions as a key liaison for all new provider integration activities for the practice(s). Assists in the transition process for onboarding new physicians and APCPs.
• Manages all revenue cycle processes, including but not limited to registration workflows, work queues, copays, daily cash drawer, bank deposits, and coding compliance, etc.
• Reviews applicable practice data and identifies variances. Analyze financial and billing reports to assist with decision-making and reporting. Participates in planning and budgeting preparation and analysis.
• Meets with Practice Administrator and medical group/market leadership as appropriate to review trends and develop/adjust strategic priorities.
• Coordinates support functions to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, where applicable, and other required regulatory agencies.
• Handles personnel functions, in collaboration with HR as appropriate, which includes check ins, evaluations etc.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Licensure/Certification

BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (Preferred, required if performing clinical functions, within 90 days of hire).
