Compensation: $120K+ base salary, depending on experience, plus sign-on bonus and performance-based incentive program.

Position Overview

Becker Orthopedic Patient Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to serve as Practice Manager for our Berkley, Michigan patient care facility.

This is a senior clinical and leadership position for an experienced CPO who wants the opportunity to lead a practice, develop referral relationships, mentor staff, provide high-quality patient care, and play a direct role in the growth and direction of the business.

The Berkley office is an established, medium-sized standalone O&P practice with a diverse mix of orthotic and prosthetic patients. We are investing in the continued growth of this location and are looking for a leader who can help build the clinical team, strengthen existing relationships, and expand the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

• Provide comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic evaluations, treatment planning, fitting, delivery, and follow-up care.
• Maintain a high standard of clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to other clinicians and support staff.
• Help establish and maintain efficient clinical workflows and documentation standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex prosthetic and orthotic cases.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and developing additional clinical staff as the practice grows.

Practice Management

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Berkley patient care practice.
• Promote a positive, accountable, patient-focused office culture.
• Work with company leadership to establish goals for clinical performance, operational efficiency, and practice growth.
• Monitor patient volume, referral activity, scheduling capacity, and overall practice performance.
• Coordinate effectively with administrative, fabrication, billing, authorization, and clinical support teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient service, staff efficiency, and clinical operations.

Business Development

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, therapists, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, case managers, and other referral sources.
• Maintain and strengthen existing referral relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.
• Conduct physician and referral-source visits and participate in educational and relationship-building activities.
• Develop strategies to increase both orthotic and prosthetic patient volume.
• Work closely with company leadership on strategic growth initiatives and new clinical opportunities.
• Help identify underserved markets, referral opportunities, and potential clinical partnerships.

Qualifications

• ABC certification as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO).
• Experienced clinician with strong prosthetic and orthotic skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a patient caseload.
• Ability to develop productive relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to successfully lead a clinical team.
